I was delighted to hear so many stories of success as young people in Camden received A-level and GCSE results last week.

Our students have shown huge determination and resilience after an incredibly difficult 18 months. I wish our young people the very best as you move on to your next step, whether that is sixth form, further education, university, an apprenticeship or work.

I also want to thank the teachers and school staff who have worked tirelessly to support young people since the pandemic began, and parents and carers who have supported their children throughout.

If you’re not sure of your next step, or know a young person who may need guidance, visit or call 020 7974 8778 to find out about one-to-one jobs and training advice.

I know many young people may be feeling anxious – if that’s you, please speak to someone about it. Young people up to age 18 can visit for online, anonymous support from a qualified counsellor. If you’re 18 or over, visit or call 020 3317 6670.

Thank you to everyone who is continuing to help keep Camden safe by following public health guidelines. Taking the COVID-19 vaccine is one of the best ways to protect each other – if you are undecided, watch the On the Fence podcast below, speak to your GP or visit
