Get your booster vaccine
If it’s been six months or more since the second dose of your COVID-19 vaccination, you’re ready for a booster. You can book an appointment 152 days (five months) after your second dose if you’re:
- aged 40 and over
- a frontline health or social care worker
- aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts you at high risk from COVID-19
Vaccination for under 18s
16 and 17-year-olds are now eligible for a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 12 weeks after their first. Young people aged 12 to 15 are eligible for a first dose and are encouraged to get it as soon as they can. 12 to 17-year-olds who have previously tested positive for COVID-19 and do not have underlying health conditions that put them at higher risk of COVID-19 should wait 12 weeks after their positive test before getting their first or second vaccine dose.
