Flu season is coming, and while the flu vaccine won’t protect you from coronavirus, having COVID-19 and the flu at the same time can make you seriously ill – particularly if you have underlying health conditions.

A flu vaccination is the best way to protect yourself, your family and your community against flu this winter. It’s free for:

  • People aged 50+
  • Pregnant women
  • All frontline health and social care workers
  • People with a long-term and/or underlying health condition/s
  • People who are the primary carer for an older person or someone with an underlying health condition

Please do not put off getting your flu jab. Speak to your GP, pharmacist or midwife to book your appointment. For more information visit nhs.uk/flujab
