• REGARDING Tom Foot’s report about the opening of a Co-op store, (Backlash over campaign to stop Co-Op opening village supermarket, August 30)… it’s about time!

The Late Late Store is outrageously expensive and they wanted me to hurry up shopping there lately at 11.30pm. So much for the Late Late Store. Competition is good for business and the Co-op is a worthy contender.
