Councillor Jonathan Simpson

• JONATHAN Simpson has been a popular and respected voice, bringing a real belief and energy into the role over several years, whether that is support for organisations like JW3 and championing the local music scene, to leading support for our EU citizens through Brexit and, more recently, in defending against the impacts of Covid-19.

He will be sorely missed in the cabinet, (Rock ‘n’ roll councillor to step down from cabinet, August 20). As a Labour activist and resident, I thank him for all the work he has done.
