NEWCOMERS Clerkenwell Old Boys have certainly adapted to life in the Camden Sunday League.
So far this season the second division side (above) have found the back of the net 29 times in eight league outings, as well as booking their place in the first round proper of the prestigious CSL Challenge Cup, which we proudly sponsor.
The Islington-based boys were back among the goals on Sunday as they put eight past Dinamo Dorigo in the opening round of the Junior Cup at Hackney Marshes.
Gino Phillip and Daniel Attard both bagged a brace while Cashie Chandler, Dean Francis, Mykel Maynard and Jamie Salvoni also all made it onto the score sheet in an emphatic 8-1 victory.
Playmaker Danny Byrne was voted Clerkenwell’s man-of-the-match after walking off the pitch with four assists.
AFC Shooters were also among the goals as they beat St Peter’s 5-3, while Badu, The Auld Shillelagh and Surreal Madrid all scored four in their respective games to secure safe passage through to the second round.
