Three years on, Claudyo Lafayette's murder investigation remains unsolved
Family launch charity website and police stake £20,000 reward

ANOTHER year has passed without any breakthrough in the murder investigation into the stabbing of a young man from Camden Town.
The family of Claudyo Lafayette say they want to “turn their grief into something bigger” with the launch a new charity and campaign website.
The 17-year old-died in Granville Road South Kilburn on July 14, 2023, after attending an event in a community centre along with dozens of young people.
A £20,000 reward has been staked for information by the detectives who have repeatedly appealed witnesses to come forward and warned
that a code of silence in NW6 may be keeping Claudyo’s killers at large.
Five young men were arrested in the case – but all have been released and are no longer on bail.
The CB’s World Foundation has been set up and a new website http://cbsworldfoundation.com launched to mark this anniversary.
Claudyo’s mother Yzakia Jauad said: “We have done this to honour Claudyo on his passing.
“It has links and information about my son and details of the reward. We are working really hard to turn our grief into something bigger than grief.
“My son didn’t know me as a weak person and this is a way of honouring him and also to give justice in some way or another.
“Justice is not just a trial, or a conviction, but trying to make this not happen to other families.”
She added: “I would like to share this from my heart, while we work to build something good from this tragedy, my children and I are also still grieving.
“We are doing our very best to move forward, even while carrying the pain and the emptiness
that has left a permanent void in our lives.
“Anyone who comes forward will be doing something truly brave and remarkable and they deserve our praise for finally helping bring clarity and peace.”
The website includes details of the case and there is a message wall for people to leave memories about the Claudyo who was well known around the Ampthill estate and Camden Town where he lived all his life.
It also has details of “bleed kits” that have been installed close to several schools and youth centres including Haverstock and Regent High.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the inquiry said: “The investigation into Claudyo Lafayette’s death remains on-going.
“Despite extensive efforts by police, those responsible have not been identified and no further arrests have been made.
“Crimestoppers are offering a £20,000 reward for anyone with relevant information or footage which leads to conviction.
“We urge witnesses to come forward. We will continue our enquiries to get justice for Claudyo’s family.”
