Chinese New Year Festivities at The Brunswick

The Brunswick will mark Chinese New Year with a spectacular evening of colour, culture and celebration on Wednesday 18 February 2026, from 4.30pm to 7.00pm.

Set in the heart of Bloomsbury, this free event will bring the centre to life with show-stopping performances and vibrant entertainment for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

This year’s celebrations will feature an action-packed programme of traditional and contemporary entertainment. Visitors will be entertained by four authentic lion performers, two fiery dragons, traditional stilt walkers, and playful panda characters. The line-up also includes Chinese drummers and gong players, mesmerising mask-changing shows, and breathtaking circus-style performances such as acrobalance acts, handstand hoop routines and hula hoop performances. Adding to the international flavour of the evening, there will also be Japanese Taiko drumming performances.

Bubble tea favourite Truedan will be marking Chinese New Year with a special in-store promotion running from 16 – 18 February. During the promotional period, customers will receive a lucky red envelope with every purchase, each containing a 20% off voucher to be redeemed in store. The giveaway will be available in-store only and while stocks last, adding an extra festive treat for visitors celebrating at The Brunswick.After enjoying the entertainment, visitors can be the first to dine at Pho, now open at The Brunswick and serving up fresh, flavour-packed Vietnamese dishes. Visitors can also indulge in Patisserie Millie’s beautiful East-meets-West cakes, sip on bubble tea from T4, or enjoy hearty claypot noodles and skewers at Dage Noodles. For something lighter, itsu offers healthy Asian-inspired bites, while Hare & Tortoise remains a firm favourite for handmade sushi, comforting ramen, and classic rice dishes.

The Brunswick is located on Bernard Street, opposite Russell Square Underground station, making it easily accessible for visitors from across London.
