THEY spent much of their Friday night baking, and then all of Saturday morning selling their wares – all to raise funds for refugees.

Maisie Everett, Lucas Farrer, Ella Hermer, Max Taylor and Katy Hermer set up a stall in York Rise, Dartmouth Park, to sell their cakes and biscuits alongside toys they had collected, and raised a whopping £600 for the chosen charity, Help Refugees.

Maisie, who goes to Brookfield school, said: “We all decided we wanted to help raise money for refugees. It took us a very long time to do all the baking.”
