• THERE is a fascinating display of old photographs and images in the windows of the empty shop in Raydon Street N19 close to the Highgate library in Chester Road.

These range from a cartoon of philanthropist Baroness Burdett-Coutts with her horn of plenty, to a postcard view of Tufnell Park Road crammed with busy shops, now long gone. This is thanks to Tudor Allen, senior archivist at the Camden Local History Archives in Holborn.

Well worth a visit, the display is supplemented by information boards about the Highgate Newtown area which were put together as part of an initiative to mark the jubilee. Residents contributed family photos and information. Until the end of January.
