Summer in Camden programme, ranging from sports, arts, work experience and much more
• AFTER a year like no other the school summer holidays are finally here.
We know that for a lot of young people and their families this has been a challenging time, so we hope that they will take advantage of the many great activities on offer across the borough for 0-to 19-year-olds as part of our Summer in Camden programme, ranging from sports, arts, work experience and much more.
We’ve also partnered with Young Camden Foundation and other organisations across Camden to give children and young people who receive free school meals a chance to get in involved in a range of great activities and get a free meal, so we can continue to support those children and families over the summer break.
There’s really something for everyone this summer.
Many of Camden’s youth, play and community centres are running play, games, welfare, sport, and support sessions during the Summer in Camden programme.
Several secondary schools are also opening up for the summer break to offer activities for incoming Year 7s to help them prepare for life in secondary school after what has been a difficult and disrupted year for many.
For young people aged between 13 and 19 there are a number of amazing free courses available in arts, media, cookery, work and life skills, as part of Camden Summer University.
Our Summer in Camden programme is a fantastic opportunity for communities to come together safely. So I encourage children and young people to get involved and hopefully have a brilliant summer break.
