Charlie Ratchford Court residents are not happy
Thursday, 16th November 2023
• THE residents of Charlie Ratchford Court are not happy with the rules of CRC.
All the care scheme residents have a kitchen in their flat and some of them prefer to make their food in their kitchen.
However, the CRC in Crogsland Road, Chalk Farm, has a compulsory payment for the food and forces residents to eat in the café of the CRC, which reduces residents’ independence to cook their food in their kitchens.
I believe there should be individual plans for each resident depending on their needs which would encourage their independence.
Most of the residents can’t afford this payment of food.
Moreover, one of the resident who was cooking in their kitchen and wasn’t eating the food from the CRC café received an arrears letter and was asked to back-pay for the food that she had never eaten.
I believe this is wrong.
