TABLETOPPERS Tony Bradbury and Ajay Gohil will go head-to-head this summer for the right to be officially crowned the best potter in the Chalk Farm Pool League.
King’s Cross Barbarian Ajay looked to be heading out of the Singles Championships on Monday night when he went 2-1 down in his semi-final against Green Man’s Terry Sharp at the Cousins Club in Islington.
But when his opponent somehow managed to snooker himself on the match-winning black, Ajay pounced to take full advantage and snatch and unlikely lifeline.
It sparked a stunning fight-back that saw Ajay win the remaining two frames to pocket a thrilling 3-2 victory.
The other best-of-five-frames showdown was more straightforward as Tony beat Sir Robert Peel team-mate Neil Faux 3-1 to secure his spot in the final, which will be held at the Boston Arms in Tufnell Park in June.
