Chairmen battle it out for Pool League cup

DEFENDING singles champion Neil Faux from Sir Robert Peel kicked off this year’s cup campaign with a clinical 2-0 win over Cock Tavern’s Ed Morris on Monday in the Chalk Farm Pool League.
In the clash of the league chairmen, current chair Shaun Pollard chalked up a 2-0 win over presiding chair Alp Sezer at the Mother Red Cap in Archway.
Brothers Colin and Cieran Farrelly from the Green Man in Islington also advanced into the second round. Also safely through are Michaela McEvoy and Richard Potts from the Prince of Wales, Mark Walton from the Golden Lion and Rob Blunt from O’Reilly’s Chargers.
