• I AM writing to try to encourage the residents of Dartmouth Park to vote “YES” in the Referendum on our Neighbourhood Plan, (Vote could safeguard area’s history, January 16).

You will be getting a leaflet through your door any day now explaining about the plan. It was written by local volunteers and is based on what local residents told us they wanted for the area.

There will always be points of contention, such as the siting of solar panels on the front roofs in Conservation Areas and that we have not done enough to mitigate climate change. The protection of our green spaces and trees will help with the latter.

Saying “YES” will enable us to directly influence any future development in the area. It will also allow us to collaborate more fully with other local Neighbourhood Forums.

Voting is on February 6 at Highgate Library and the Baptist Chapel, entrance in Chetwynd Road. Please support our Neighbourhood Plan and vote “YES” on February 6!
