• A MOST enjoyable literary event at Belsize Community Library for children aged six-plus and parents took place on November 22.

Awards-winning author/illustrator Lauren Child talked about her latest Clarice Bean novel SCRAM! with journalist/author Julia Eccleshare.

These two ladies know a thing or two about children’s literature and immediately captivated the audience. It’s amazing how time flies when the conversation is interesting.

It’s also reassuring that children are still reading books. I’m told that Santa will be delivering quite a lot of books this year.
