PRO Touch Soccer Academy (PTSA) coach Carlos Santos is set to go head to head with top coaches from across the country for the title of National Coach of the Year in the FA Community Awards.
Santos, a former semi-professional footballer with East Thurrock FC, has already been named Amateur Football Alliance County coach and FA London Regional coach of the year after some fine results with his Pro Touch under 12s.
The 33-year-old, who is head of the PTSA Academy, coached his side to AFA County Cup victory and a runners-up berth in the Islington Midweek League.
On September 1 he will put his coaching talents to the test when he joins other award winners for selection as National Coach of the Year at the FA’s St George’s Park national football centre in Staffordshire.
“I’m happy because I’m the best across London so now I’m looking forward to competing for the national award,” he said.
