RYAN FC have been crowned the kings of the capital after beating Bromley on Sunday at the Samuel Montagu Youth Centre in Greenwich to capture the London FA County Cup.

The Under-16s side made up of some of the best players in Camden and Islington, ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Noyan Tajbakhsh and Charles Prince. Holding midfielder Berkcan Belindir (top left), dubbed the Turkish Yaya Toure, was awarded the man-of-the-match.

Delighted manager Jamie Houghton said: “Everyone’s worked so hard over the years to get to this position and it feels like all that effort has finally paid off. This group of players have been fantastic and their behaviour off the pitch, as well as their footballing ability on it, has been a real credit to both themselves and their parents.

“They’ve earned the right to call themselves London champions.”
