UNDERDOGS Camden Town FC went in search of a giant-killing on Sunday when they tackled north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a game dubbed the biggest in the club’s history.

Midfielder Geena Gordon embodied Camden’s battling spirit as she chased down Spurs striker Lucia Leon in the semi-final of the Capital Women’s Cup, held at Cheshunt FC.

With Tottenham playing two leagues above Camden in the footballing pyramid it was never going to be easy. For the winners, a final date against Charlton Athletic, who beat QPR 5-0 in their semi-final.

For the losers, cup heartache and longing thoughts of what might have been.

Who was celebrating on the sound of the final whistle?
