ONE of the key figures of Camden Council’s leadership has today (Saturday) been chosen as the Labour’s parliamentary candidate set to stand against Boris Johnson at the next general election.

Danny Beales, who has fronted the Town Hall’s Community Investment Programme, was chosen by members in Uxbridge and South Ruislip. Polling suggests Mr Johnson, the former prime minister who left Downing Street earlier this year after breaking the government’s own Covid lockdown rules to attend parties, could be in serious trouble. He has so far indicated that he will stay and fight to stay as the constituency’s MP.
