THE Camden Year 6 District football team made it two wins out of two in the Kay Trophy on Saturday when they netted a 3-2 away win over South London.

Striker Trae William-Lauder continued his blistering form with two more goals, while midfielder Tommaso Isoni, who also starred for Hampstead Parochial School in the Camden Schools Sports Association (CSSA) Football League, was also on target.

The team is soaring towards a semi-final date against neighbours Islington, sparking memories of when Camden last lifted the trophy in 2012 courtesy of a hat-trick from Arsenal and England striker Trae Coyle.

Manager Abul Koyar, who runs the team with Shaun Taylor, said it's so far, so good for the borough's boys.

“We won 8-0 against Westminster in our first game, and have no beat South London so we're one win away from setting up a semi-final date against either Islington or Hackney.”
