We know this because no sooner had you published our last letter than West Kentish Town Estate residents received a rapid response “newsletter” by way of reply, the usual blandishment not addressing any of the problems.

Especially not the fact that we are to be put into a germ-breeding “cell-block-H” design, frowned upon in the last century. Or the simple request from families and our Muslim residents for a separate toilet and bathrooms.

But it claimed there was a tower block in the design we voted for of how the estate might look, but now social housing tenants will have four towers incorporating the cell blocks that were not in the original design.

According to “illustrative pictures” of the “potential design”, external balconies are now back, contrary to what we were last told, which may be a good thing, but can you rely upon anything Camden says?

One thing you can rely upon is that Camden is going to employ their usual bullying tactics to push this through against residents’ wishes.
