SIX swimmers from Camden Swiss Cottage scooped medals at the London Region Short Course Winter Championships at the weekend in Barnet.
Olivia Willis won silver in the junior 200m individual medley and bronze in the junior 200m freestyle, setting a personal best in the latter of 2.07.77 in her heat. Her 100m backstroke heat was a best of 1.05.37, but the highly-rated 15-year-old faded in the final to finish in fifth.
Olivia teamed up with Kelly Hookway, Indigo Mathews and Rosie Hughes to put in a bronze-winning display in the women’s open 4x100m freestyle relay, with Kelly setting a personal best of 1.00.40 on the opening leg.
Victor Amara, 16, won bronze in the junior 100m butterfly with a best of 1.01.21. Club-mate Sarah Taylor-Reid, 17, also collected a bronze in the women’s open 200m breaststroke in 2.42.57.
Three of Camden’s juniors just missed the podium positions.

Tudor Puszet, 16, was the fourth junior in the 400m individual medley in 4.58.63, as was James Slade, 15, in the 200m individual medley final after a lifetime best of 2.18.42 in his earlier heat.
Also notching up notable junior results were Peter Schlichter, 15, with a fifth place finish in the 1500m freestyle and Indigo Mathews, 13, who swam to a nine-second improvement in the 400m individual medley to finish in sixth place.
