Nikki Promnay's dress looks just like something out of Alice in Wonderland, but is actually from Camden market. The 24-year-old who is originally from Thailand has teamed her blue polka-dot dress with matching blue Ecco shoes, a Burberry watch and a little necklace. The 24-year-old, who is currently studying for a masters degree in forensic medical science said: “People should come up with their own look, not just copy from the magazines.”

Chau Le, 31, who lives in Leyton has paired her black French Connection dress with chunky platform boots, as she explains: “I'm going to a gig later so I need to be tall.” Chau, who is a port management student, has added a Paul's Boutique bag and a matching bracelet to a bit of sparkle, for the Dexys gig she is going to watch at the Roundhouse.

Sian Morris, a 23-year-old PhD psychology student, is wearing a black bodycon skirt from Topshop, a bright orange crop top from French Connection, with a chunky necklace from Aldo and shoes from Camden market. Sian, who is from Essex, has dressed up for a night at Zoo Lates, finishing off her look with plenty of designer accessories, including sunglasses from Tiffany's, and a bag and watch, both from Vivienne Westwood, who she is a “big fan” of.

Harry Fraser, is out and about in Camden market wearing a “summery” T-shirt from Primark, a reversible chequered jacket tied around his waist which was a present from his sister, women's jeans from Topshop and a pair of Nike Huaraches. The hairdresser from Kilburn, who revealed that he has styled the locks of a number of theatre stars, has accessorised with a hat from JD and a chunky chain from Claire's. The 18-year-old said he is a fan of house music so he “likes to look quite housey, which includes shades, trainers and little bum bags”.

Petra Vas, 21, from Hungary, is on holiday in London dressed in a purple patterned dress from H&M and a black leather jacket from Zara. She has added a gold chain which was a present from a friend, some Ray-Ban sunglasses and a pair of Converse trainers to complete the look. Petra said Camden is “amazing” and that people here dress “a little bit crazier” than they do in Hungary.

Francesca Garau is wearing a black and white varsity jacket from Sardinia over a black top with white skulls from H&M, aztec print leggings which were a present from a friend and some plimsolls from USC. The 19-year-old, who is living in Wood Green has added a black studded bag, black glasses, hoop earrings and a hooped nose ring to add a bit of an edge to her casual look, which she says is simply “an expression of me”.
