Under-10s A Division

PLAYERS, parents and supporters from Primrose were celebrating on Saturday after the team’s dramatic title win at Regent’s Park.

A three-way battle saw Kentish Town, Arsenal Community and Primrose all go into the final day with a chance of being crowned champions.

Kentish Town (in blue above) did what they had to in the early kick-off as they beat Pro Touch 4-2 thanks to a brace from Jojo Martin and goals from Tomer Dankwerth and Thomas Lotara.

The victory saw Town take over at the top of the table, which is where they would stay if Primrose and Arsenal drew in their title-deciding clash.
Arsenal took an early lead in the mouth-watering contest but Primrose levelled the scores on the stroke of half time thanks to a neat finish from Adam Rowe. Tied at 1-1 going in at the break it was advantage Town.

But with time running out it was Primrose who made the breakthrough and sparked wild scenes of celebration when Rowe scored his second of the game after team-mate Leo Haralambous saw his shot come back off the woodwork.

The 2-1 victory saw Primrose win the title courtesy of their better goal difference over runners-up Kentish Town, and afterwards manager Garrie Myers said: “A great game, great spirit, great occasion!

“The boys dug in deep to overcome a talented Arsenal side. It was the game of the season.”

Under-12s B Division

ONE of the results of the weekend saw Kentish Town go goal crazy in their match against St John’s Wood United.
Nelson Smith, Reece Morley and Rhys Hajdo all scored two goals each, while Owen Johnston also found the back of the net in an emphatic 7-0 victory.

Under-13s A Division

A SINGLE strike from Jordan Monteiro was enough to earn Kentish Town a 1-0 win over AFC Islington and Camden Red on Saturday.
