THE Town Hall has allowed its long-serving finance chief Mike O’Donnell to be seconded to the Midlands. He will work at Birmingham City Council for three days a week as part of an overhaul of the second city’s local authority set-up, where £40million of cuts and a staff re-organisation is said to be needed to get it back on track.
