PLAYERS from Camden Elite FC know that they are going to have to be at their best on Saturday when they take on rivals Kentish Town in the Regent’s Park Youth League.

The Under-11s side (pictured) have had a mixed start to the season. In their last outing at Regent’s Park they looked super sharp in front of goal as they scored five past Primrose. En Molos Mripa and Dylan Shauhnessy both struck twice, while Aaron Edwards also scored in a 5-0 win.

Elite couldn’t outscore their rivals on Friday, however, as they lost 3-2 against Angel Islington in their opening game in the Camden and Islington Youth League. Despite the defeat Caleb Mensah and Shay Blackwood will be happy they still managed to get on the scoresheet.

In the Under-12s age group at Market Road youngsters from The Heath had plenty of reason to cheer after beating CM Futsal in a nine-goal thriller. Cameron Hannah scored a hat-trick, while James Taylor and Jonelle Hall also netted in the 5-4 win.

There was also a hat-trick hero in the Under-9s age group as Jesse Aldridge scored a timely treble for Isledon Wolves.

Tyson McIntosh and Oscar Phillips also chipped in with two goals each as Wolves beat AC United 7-0.

Isledon’s Under-8s also enjoyed a successful run out on Saturday as they beat Chapel Youth. Louie Hartley, Lyes Djellali and Tristran Baker all scored two goals each in a 6-0 win.
