The following Monday is a Bank Holiday.

Organisers will not have to pay a fee to put on the event or close the road, but will be responsible for public liability insurance and any other charges including a live music licence.
The council said residents are strongly encouraged to submit their applications by March 12 to guarantee that their event will take place. Resident groups unable to do this should call the Council on 020 7974 5633 for advice on proceeding.
Cabinet councillor Sabrina Francis said: “For many of us this will be the first coronation we’ve seen – and residents who saw Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953 will no doubt remember what a special event it was. Many people bought their first television sets to watch the Coronation of the late Queen and set up long trestle tables in their streets to celebrate with a community tea.
She added: “This time round we know people can follow the Coronation on TV and online – but getting our neighbours and communities together to share food and drink is still a very special thing to do. We are making it as easy as possible for people to do this by waiving road closure charges – so please get in touch with us and we can help make sure you have what you need to put on a great community event.”
