POOL players who think they have what it takes to compete at a county standard are being offered their big break.

The Central London County team are searching for perfect potters to help strengthen their squad.

The County ‘B’ team gave a glimpse of what new players can expect to be part of when they took part in the National Blackball Championships in Selsey, West Sussex.

The 10-man squad competed over four days against the best teams from all over the country, pocketing wins over the likes of Lancashire and South Yorkshire in testing 27-frame contests.

The team missed out on silverware this time around, but are hoping by bringing in new recruits they will soon be celebrating glory.

Trials will be held at the Hurricane Rooms in Gray’s Inn Road, King’s Cross, on Sunday March 31, between noon and 4pm. Anyone interested should call county captain Alp Sezer on 07957 134660 for more details.
