• YOUR article on buskers was timely as we recently contacted Licensing and the Police following complaints from residents about loud and aggressive busking, (Residents say they’re driven wild by buskers singing the same old songs, July 13).

There is always a balance to be struck between protecting Camden Town’s musical heritage and indeed its success as a visitor destination and the right of residents to some peace and quiet. We therefore welcome the planned “summer crackdown” because residents have had enough.
