PLAYERS from Parliament Hill Bowling Club were bowled over this week when they were awarded a grant by the Camden Sports Council.
The club, which is now celebrating its 77th year, was presented with a cheque for £500, which will go towards running their lush green in NW5.
Members from the club are now hoping that the fact bowls is in the Commonwealth Games this year will help to attract newcomers.
Anyone interested should email: paul.mennell@btinternet .com or call club coach Alf Turner on 020 8361 1399 for further details.
