• I LOVED John Sadler’s cartoon of the overcrowded C11 bus (Letters, December 14).

Speaking of another boneshaker, 274, the single-decker local route that serves Camden Town, London Zoo, Regent’s Park Mosque and Oxford Street, I recently had occasion to be in touch with TfL following an incident while travelling on that route.

I was referred on to Metroline who run the 274s and I am pleased to say that they have informed me that from June 2018 we will be getting double-decker hybrid buses on that busy route.

Progress indeed and some welcome news for the new year!
