YOUR SHOUT

WHO could fail to be repulsed by the sight of Norwich millionaire owner Delia Smith doing a celebratory jig, half-time caviar dripping from her chin on Saturday?

She may as well have been clog dancing on the innocent puppies that are the impoverished minnows of the Premiership, the Gunners.

How can Arsenal hope to compete? Quite simply, they can’t. A look at the table tells us that Arsenal are now, officially, the fifth best team in London.

Not only were they outclassed by the mighty Canaries, but they are behind the Spuds, Fulham and West Ham.

Arsenal simply don’t have the financial clout to compete with these behemoths of the modern game.

Silly me, I almost forgot to mention the best team in London by a country mile, the champions of Europe and FA Cup holders, Chelsea. They returned to Three Point Lane on Saturday and, you guessed it, collected three points to stay top. Sometimes, there is just too much good news.

Glory hopes fade

ARSENE Wenger says Arsenal aren’t out of the title race after the 1-0 defeat away at Norwich.

He blames the defeat on a poor offensive performance.

I thought it was also a poor goalkeeping performance.

Why was the team not motivated at half time? Because the truth is Wenger has been unable to motivate the players in recent years. Suddenly, fourth place looks very far away – as far away as Robin van Persie.
