Blades take on the world in Hungary

FOUR fencers from Camden Fencing Club will jet off to Budapest this weekend to take part in the Senior World Championships.

The most experienced is three-time Olympian Richard Kruse, who is taking a break from teaching the best young blades from across Camden and Islington to represent GB.

The former European Championship silver medallist coaches foil for Camden at Acland Burghley School in Tufnell Park. 

He will be joined in Team GB by two of the club’s most successful and skilful sabreurs, Soji Aiyenuro, who lives in Belsize Park, and Curtis Miller, who lives in Holloway.

Camden junior foil coach Gabriella Varga who has competed in two Olympics and is also a former European champion, will be representing Hungary.
