• I WALKED to Barclays’ West Hampstead branch today – to find it shut.

I looked up Swiss Cottage branch: it’s shut. The nearest open branch to me is St John’s Wood, too far to walk. We’re not meant to use public transport. What are Barclays’ customers supposed to do?

As I had virtually no cash left, I was forced to use an ATM today (not Barclays’ own as they, too, are shut) but am not happy using them for security concerns and because we cannot choose which notes to have.

I understand we are in an unprecedented situation, but I still think this is poor customer service. And isn’t it funny that the only open branch is in one of the wealthiest areas of London?
