HECTOR Bellerin says that there’s a real “excitement” buzzing around Arsenal as the club prepares to travel to Asia this weekend to kick off their pre-season.

The Spanish full-back, who made 30 appearances last term in his breakthrough campaign, will be among the players flying out to Singapore on Sunday to take part in the Barclays Asia Trophy.

The 20-year-old made it clear that the Gunners are in confident mood ahead of the new season, boasting that the team feels like they “can beat any team in the world”.

“I’m really, really excited for the new season,” Bellerin told Arsenal Player

“The way we finished last season, the team have really come together and we’ve had some great performances, especially since the new year.

“The team really feel like we can beat any team in the world with the performances we’ve had, so we’re all really, really excited to hopefully start the season with the right mindset and with the right results.

“Hopefully by the end of next season we can win some more trophies.

“We need to start with the confidence that we finished this season with,” Bellerin added.

“That’s going to be important for us, to keep pushing and start where we left off at the end of last season.”

Meanwhile Arsenal fans have been teased that the manager Arsene Wenger is set to unveil a major new signing in the coming days.

Leading football agent Muzzi Ozcan, who has strong links to the Bundesliga, tweeted from his personal account on Wednesday that the Gunners were very close to completing a major transfer deal.

“Arsenal will be making the transfer of the season!

“The deal isn’t to far from being complete!

“Will update in the coming days.”

The club have been strongly linked a number of big transfers in recent days, including Mario Gotze, Karim Benzema and, most shockingly of all, the Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria.
