Barnaby Dunmow

• IT was very sad to read that our Barnaby from Sainsbury’s Camden Town has passed away, (Tributes to Barnaby after loyal checkout worker passes away, September 5).

He was already working in the store when I moved into this area in 1996. Although I was not aware of his good sense of humour as I had never had a personal conversation with him, I know he was gifted; when his colleagues next to his till could not find a barcode for a product, they asked him. He would immediately recite the long code in numbers!

I got totally amazed every time I witnessed it. I will definitely miss him despite the fact that I do not shop there as often as I used to.
