STRIKER Tiago Santos didn’t look out of place as he joined players from Atletico Madrid, Paris
St Germain and Benfica at an international competition in Portugal.
The talented 10-year-old, pictured in red, who recently agreed a one-year deal with Barnet, was among 40 players from Pro Touch Soccer Academy who travelled to Lisbon to take part in the Iber Cup.
Despite missing out on a trophy academy director Ash Rahman believes the experience gained will prove invaluable. “Of course it would have been nice to win something,” he said. “But when you’re taking footballers out of Camden and Islington the most important thing is that they gain experience and develop as players.”
• Pro Touch are looking for players aged five to 16 – anyone interested should call Ash on 07732 872022 for details.
