Camden Future Journal for January 2031

• I KNOW its very antiquated sending you a handwritten letter deep into 2031 but I thought you should know that while rummaging in my attic I chanced upon an old 1000TB hard drive (like the middle ages back then!).

But it was wrapped up in an old copy of the CNJ from, get this, 2021. I couldn’t believe my synthetic eyes.

Well, 10 years ago and nothing much has changed sadly. Prime minister Starmer is still procrastinating on the new Michael Palin cinema in Kentish Town. The 29 bus to St Albans is still unsatisfactory and irregular.

And don’t get me started on the new “hover board” lanes that Mayor Berry has proposed to run alongside the existing “tandem and tricycle” cycle lanes. Honestly, the electric vehicles will have to go underground; just like HS2… again!

Even though 10 years has passed, I’m so happy to see that “everyone wore a mask and got vaccinated” in 2021. That’s why we are still reading the Camden New Journal today.
