‘This does not show caring for the environment’

• ALONG with many other residents I was horrified to see this devastation (see picture, above) next to the railway line at Mill Lane Bridge, West Hampstead.

The sign on the fence says this was done by Ground Control “Caring for the Environment”.

Can someone (Network Rail? Camden Council?) explain to our community why all these beautiful trees were cut down? Particularly in spring when birds are nesting.

And how this is in any way caring for the environment?
