MAGIC Man Dave Willis aims to get over the disappointment of losing Sunday’s Challenge Cup final by pounding the pavements – all 26.2 miles of them! 

The Cobden Athletic manager is running the London Marathon on April 26 to raise cash for Cancer Research UK. Dave, who turns 43 next Saturday, says he can’t wait to put his running shoes on and tackle an old foe. 

“This will be my fifth and final marathon,” he said. “I’m returning to a stomping ground I know really, really well… kind of. 

“I haven’t actually run it for almost 20 years but I’m really excited. 

“Over the years cancer has affected friends and family and I wanted to do something to help,” Dave added.
