IT may be just a week to go to the FA Cup final and a huge chance to end Arsenal's trophy drought, but there was little sign of nerves when the players were allowed to film a promo for betting firm Paddy Power at the club's training ground this week. Per Mertesacker, Mikel Arteta and Lukas Podolski played it for deadpan laughs as they read out mean tweets and then responded to them while the advertising campaign's jokey commentator reeled off a series of gags – one at the expense of Olivier Giroud's shooting. The Irish bookmakers have a three year deal with Arsenal to be their "official betting partners".
