ARSENAL FC: The Crow – Full-back to the future with Thierry Henry?

I SAID it at the time, but maybe we were too hasty in selling Kenny Sansom to Newcastle United.
And look what’s come to pass: Arsenal do not have a fit full-back to call upon and there’s tabloid gossip about a Wayne Bridge loan deal.
Surely, you ask Silvinho if he’s busy first? Bung him a wad to take Mrs Silvinho to see Les Mis or Wicked or something up the West End and ask if he’ll fill in at the back in return.
Or Grimandi, what about Grimandi?
Surely Grimbo could ‘do a job’. And if you fail on those two, ask Kenny if he’ll squeeze into a kit and roll back the years. Clearly these are all better options than dialing Wayne Bridge.
Now, of course, another, even better, option would be what we would all love for Christmas: Arsenal re-sign Thierry Henry.
You shouldn’t need an excuse to do such a thing but if converting him into a full-back must be it, then so be it.
I want Henry back at the club even if he just stands around looking happy, cheering everybody up with tales of the times when Arsenal were above Spurs and he scored back-heels against Charlton.
He can make the tea.
Pump up the balls.
Put on the Gunnersaurus suit.
Anything. Just come back.
If Arsene Wenger is visited by any ghosties this Christmas, he should stick with the spirits of Christmases past.
As Man City’s strength proved too much for our full-back-less team on Sunday, the manager must move for someone.
