Arrange a free collection if you want us to cut back vegetation
Friday, 29th May 2020
• FURTHER to Councillor Simon Pearson’s letter (Clear hedges and widen pavements, May 21) urging people to cut back vegetation that might be overhanging the pavement, to maximise the available width for pedestrians, I would like to point out that the annual charge introduced for the collection of garden waste means that most people will not be able to do so, as they do not have any way of disposing of the waste.
Maybe the London Borough of Camden could arrange a free collection to enable us to follow his suggestion, preferably on a permanent basis.
