Armed officers swoop on car in ‘pre-planned operation' in Camden Town

ARMED police officers carried out a “pre-planned operation” in Camden Town this afternoon (Monday).
Police, including firearms officers, stopped a white car at about 5.50pm on Camden High Street.
Firearm officers were seen surrounding the car near the junction with Greenland Road.
The Met say a man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled substances.

He has been taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
The road was closed but soon reopened.
Police said: “Enquiries continue. We are not prepared to comment further due to ongoing operational reasons.”
