Are these lights on early for Christmas?

• I AGREE wholeheartedly at the concern shown by Tom Lee on leaving the Christmas lights on in Camden (A turn-off? February 23).
Sadly, I suspect that someone has decided to keep them on permanently, mainly for the tourists, and by the time Christmas comes around again it won’t feel so special, quite apart from the cost of keeping them on. What a waste.
