Anyone know what is happening on this ultra-prime site?

• PETER Lee’s asking (What’s going on here? Letters, November 24) – at the former Tower service station site in Finchley Road – inspires me to write about another Camden site that’s been inert for even longer.

It’s now nearly six years since the Mango Room, one of London’s best Caribbean restaurants, closed in Kentish Town Road just opposite Camden Town tube station.

Luckily the excellent restaurant resurrected itself, at Roger’s Kitchen in Camden Road. But in Kentish Town Road – where we were initially told a four-storey hotel was planned – nothing!

The original building was demolished, but where it stood there is still nothing but scaffolding. On this ultra-prime site not a single brick has been put in place. Does anyone know what is happening, if anything?
