When is Kentish Town tube station reopening?

• ON the King’s Cross Northern line platform, waiting to get the train to Camden Town and then connecting bus home, I heard an announcement that on June 26, due to works on the rails, Kentish Town station would be closed.

I laughed out loud! No one else did. Obviously they weren’t travelling to that neck of the woods and didn’t get the joke.

When recounting this to a mate in the park, he had heard via staff he knew at a café frequented by engineers working at Kentish Town tube that the engineers’ assessment was the project wouldn’t be anywhere close to finishing to allow the station to reopen in the summer this year!

Does anyone know of any updates? I think Transport for London could at the very least let the workers and people of Kentish Town know when we can expect the reopening.
