Any O2 Centre development should include a swimming pool

Artist’s impression of plans for the O2 Centre development
• YOUR article on the O2 Centre development, (First look at plans for O2 Centre site redevelopment, February 17), mentions that we have 21 days to respond. Now only 14 days remain.
Part of the ludicrous consultation plan must have been the public meeting in the synagogue in Dennington Park Road held on that very Wednesday, the day before the plans were made available, featuring a blurred PowerPoint presentation and a refusal to focus the lens when I asked.
The delivery was as dry and boring as it was long. I was losing the will to live and walked out after an hour of tedium. Is this what Camden Council calls consultation?
Doctors and school teachers in the area are sure to agree that a swimming pool is needed for urgent health reasons and this is probably the last opportunity for a pool in the area.
It would be easy to incorporate because the site will be initially clear and could be dug out deeper to include a pool at basement level. There is no excuse for not giving this proposal serious consideration.
