Murals ­painted by a famous artist Cecil Osborne

• GOOD to see that the Town Hall was prepared to go along to an auction to buy back some of its own property, (Town Hall bids to buy back lost murals, September 19).

For many years on my bookshelf were Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes and Naked Lunch by William S Burroughs – two books that I borrowed from Swiss Cottage library in 1968 (they were due to be returned on May 16 of that year).

From time to time I would rather shamefacedly wonder how much the astronomic fine would be. Au contraire, I could be in for a windfall. What am I bid, Camden?
